Rape Victim’s New-born Baby Stolen At Hospital By Alabama Child Protective Services

Being a rape victim is probably one of the most horrifying things to go through. Falling pregnant as a result of that act is even more traumatic and is not unheard of. Many of these rape victims will opt for an abortion however others feel differently and will decide to keep the baby.

This is what a 14-year-old rape victim from Alabaster, Alabama bravely decided and has recently given birth to a healthy baby boy named Braelon.

Two days after giving birth to him, the new Mom couldn’t wait to get home start this new chapter of her life but the hospital did not give them the go ahead for some reason.

A Social Worker from the Shelby Baptist Medical Center then took her baby from her and the only reason given to her was: “It’s protocol”. There weren’t even any court papers to substantiate this act.

According to reports, the Department of Human Resources (DHR) had to be contacted after the rape incident as the girl was still a minor. Once reported to the police, they, in turn, reported it to the DHR.

A DHR supervisor, along with three Alabaster police officers, the shift supervisor, a detective, two security personnel as well as the hospital Director of Risk Management/Compliance took the baby away from his Mom’s arms after she had fed him.

The 14-year-old and her family, who were fully supportive of her and her new baby, were totally shocked and at first could not understand why the hospital did not want them to go home.

To make matters worse, the 14-year-old mother and her brother have also been taken into DHR custody and once again there was no paperwork, no court order, and no reason was given.

Unsurprisingly, the Social Workers involved in this case are now receiving lots of negative attention from readers all over the internet, who question why a baby would be taken away from its Mother in such a way.

There is clearly more to this story but instead of speculating, let’s just hope that the Baby’s interest is always at the front of this.

A Facebook Page has been set up in support of this family, titled SAVE Braelon’s Family.

That’s just the worst possible series of events that could happen to a little girl. Shame on the DHS for being so cruel and insensitive! And a 2 day old baby needs a mother more than the bl@@dy law..

Yes, there is more to the story. Much more. And it all reveals more corruption and injustice done to this innocent family. Feel free to follow at MedicalKidnap.com, where we will keep people updated.

Thank you, KidsSafetyNetwork, for covering this story. I was an eyewitness to the horror and injustice they put this young mom and her family through. No one should ever have to go through this.

Why is this not right? We have no idea why the baby was taken from it’s mother or why the mother and her brother were removed from their parents so it’s wrong for any of us to judge so early in a case.

It is wrong because DHS provided no documentation for removal nor cause for such. The government can’t just go around removing children without proper evidence or providing the guardians with proof of the accusations being levied.

Devastating. First was raped and now loosing her baby in a such critical time. She needs her baby more than anybody else to heal her wounds and undeniably because she is filled with overwhelming love for him or her.

DHS came the day after her rapist and his mother bullied their way in to see the baby. Doubt it’s a coincidence.

I can’t believe that they gave the rapist into the mom and baby room. That is so wrong, everything with this case is so wrong. Is it all because the baby is not black or what? Someone should teach those people genetic and biology. Even if they suspect something, they could have figure things out even before the child was born. So so wrong my heat goes out to the little girl who needs to handle all of that without her mom and after giving birth. I hope that she will be strong

This story obviously has a lot of unanswered questions but why are there no statements being made from the government regards this case? My heart is with the child and her baby. I hope they are together and they can complete their bonding in a safe and comfortable environment.xx

The pervert who raped this young girl gets to see the product of his rape before he goes to jail AND Social Services takes the baby away from the young mother?!?! This doesn’t make any sense!! Freaking Alabama!! Idiots!!

I would appreciate the full truth. This had been all over fb for days and it had come out that the mother was going home to where a registered sex offender lives. CPS put up with a lot of negative feedback only when people report half truths or not the full story. Most of the time CPS workers are not allowed to talk to the media about cases. Please give them the benefit of the doubt before jumping to conclusions.

She was bringing the baby to a house with a registered sex offender people need to get The whole story and the truth before commenting looking at the whole picture police and social worker will never take a baby from someone’s arms, There needs to be a valid reason why law-enforcement only looking at the baby’s best interest.

        June 25, 2016 at 5:28 pm

She is a foster child herself living with her grandmother. Her and her brother would have never been placed with the grandmother if there was a registered sex offender already living in the house. They do take children for no more reason than the parent is poor enough to get federal funding for the child to meet their payroll.

O My God wow that young mother as a voice too and it shouldn’t matter if she is young or (sad to say) raped victim but with her strong will she took the mother instinct to care, love, support and protect that baby and no chance was given. SHAME on the hospital and and Social workers and even the police that had no right to be involved now as it takes 9 month for a baby to grow. With nothing to state the clams on court documents or anything of that matter. That government should be investigated DHR instead. THEY DIDNT FOLLOW PROTOCOL there is no way. That kind of system takes good kids out of good homes and places them in bad homes and maybe even worse. You are a strong young woman and u fight for ur baby never give up HOPESweetheart I’ll stand with you and fight

This is extremely disturbing. God bless you young lady, and your family. The judicial system is gross and completely messed up. Shame on the person that decided to take your child away from you.
