Cuisinart is recalling 8 million food processors because the riveted metal slicing blades can crack and break off into food.
According to the Today Show, 30 cases of mouth lacerations and damaged teeth have been reported. And according to the Huffington Post, 69 people have reported finding broken bits of blade in their processed food.
You can easily identify a defective Cuisinart blade: Look for four rivets on the blade. If you see riveted blades on your Cuisinart, don’t use it! Cuisinart will supply you with a new blade for free.
