A caring Dad has gone viral after he was snapped flying on a Christmas Eve flight to Detroit just so that he could spend the holidays with his daughter.

Hal Vaughan apparently booked multiple flights all so that his flight attendant daughter Pierce Vaughan could spend Christmas with her family – even while she was working.

The thoughtful and sweet gesture was then shared by Mike Levy, of Ohio, who was sat next to Vaughan on one of his many Delta airlines flights.

‘I had the pleasure of sitting next to Hal on my flight back home,’ Levy said in the Monday post that has been shared more than 27,000 times. ‘His daughter Pierce was our flight attendant who had to work over Christmas.

Hal decided he would spend the holiday with her. So, he is flying on each of her flights today and tomorrow around the country to spend time with his daughter for Christmas. What a fantastic father! Wish you both a very Merry Christmas!’

Also included in the post was an adorable shot of Levy with the doting Father along with a shot of the flight attendant who is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Levy also shared that the man had booked 6 flights in total and the two had met during the leg from Fort Myers to Detroit.

On Tuesday, Pierce shared Levy’s post and offered more details surrounding Hal’s journeys.

‘Look ma we made it Kimberly Hal Vaughan, she said. ‘Dad’s first trip using his benefits was a success!

‘A special thanks to all of the patient, wonderful gate agents around the country and my perfect crew. He made it on every flight and even got first class RSW-DTW (Christmas miracle).

‘Shoutout to Mike Levy for being a great first class passenger & helping us to understand how cool this actually is!’

What a beautiful gesture.
