A 3-year-old boy whose Mother runs a popular Instagram page died after choking on a bouncy ball just ahead of his 4th birthday party.

Alby Fox Davis was playing with the ball – which was delivered earlier in the day – and was intended as a ‘party favour’ for his upcoming fourth birthday celebrations.

The ball became stuck in his windpipe and he couldn’t breathe, despite his pregnant mum’s frantic attempts to save him. He died in her arms.Posting a photo on Instagram, his mum Anna wrote:

‘I can’t wait to go to bed tonight Mum!’ Our precious boy, with his brand new doona cover, 2.49pm on Monday afternoon… exactly 40 minutes before he took his final earthside breath in my arms.
No words could ever express the depths of our gratitude for the outpouring of love we have received since our worst nightmare became our daily reality.

During this time of immense grief, your thoughts, prayers, sympathy and tears have enveloped and uplifted us, and we could never thank you enough for your overwhelming generosity and support.

Sweet Alby, forever three, forever free.Anna, who runs The Small Folk, an ‘enchanting, holistic play store, celebrating a naturally simplified childhood’, is pregnant with her fourth child.

Alby also leaves behind a sister, Sage Mila Wren and brother, Acre Roo.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist and support the family after their tragedy. It’s currently raised more than $225,000 of a $100,000 target.
The page reads:

In this time of unfathomable grief, this beautiful family need time to mourn and surround each other in love, without having the financial burdens of daily life and work commitments weighing on their minds.
As Simon is a relief teacher, he’s not entitled to any leave and as so many of you know, Anna is self-employed with her much-loved business, The Small Folk.

Let us come together to offer our support in any amount we can. We may live far away, even separated by oceans, but let us band together to help Anna and her family feel our love and presence during this time.People shared their thoughts and prayers in the comments on The Small Folk Instagram posts – some even offered to help with the business side of things.

I cannot even begin to conceive of your immense loss. A void that can never be filled. All my compassion, love and best wishes for you all during this utter nightmare.
Dear, sweet little boy, I hope God, or whoever it is up there, has you in their loving protective arms and you are smiling and blissfully free.

Hi Anna I have never met you but feel for you in this time of uncertainty. While my loss was not the the same as yours I too have experienced loss of a child at a young age.
Thoughts and love go out to you and your family at this time. If there’s anything I can do, especially in your business area, packing, answering emails, please let me know, I’d be more than happy to lend a hand. Much love to you and yours.

Just heartbreaking.

Great points by Alby and SW. Is the new guy”s salary solely funded by taxpayer dollars? If so, we”re paying him more than we pay Carney. online
